Farmers’ Market

A local farmers’ market is making its grand entrance for the summer this Friday.

The Pine City Farmers’ Market is back open for business this summer June 9th and 10th from 11 am to 1 pm.

Early season produce, plants, homemade goods, and a tasting event are all featured in the first weekend of the market.

International bestselling author visits Cambridge

An international bestselling author is headed to East Central Minnesota.

Nickolas Butler is hosting a reading and signing of his new book, the Hearts of Men, in Cambridge.

Held at Scout and Morgan Books in Cambridge, the signing is from 6:30 to 8:30 this Wednesday.

Counterfeit Bills in Pine County

The Pine County Sheriff’s Department has released a statement regarding counterfeit money.

The issue surrounds the use of 100 dollar counterfeit bills being used across the county, and including but not limited to garage sales.

North Branch Scholarship Awards

North Branch Area high school students were honored at last week’s senior scholarship night.

82 students received a total of 128, 475 dollars from 66 donors.

Additionally, Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps Cadet Samuel J. Peterson received a 4 year scholarship that will cover all tuition costs, textbooks, and fees for college.

4 year ROTC scholarships are only awarded to the most exceptional candidates, as the majority are only 3 year offers.
