Freedom Fest 2017
This week marks the beginning of one of the most popular events in Pine County.
Freedom Fest 2017 features a car show, triathlon, vendors, medallion hunt, singing competition and more.
Pine City Chamber of Commerce President Julie Samuelson is looking forward to the event, specifically Solid Rock in the Park and that Hands for Pine City is offering a free meal for the public.
Freedom Fest 2017 runs June 21st through the 25th, with various events and attractions on each day.

Blood Drive in Pine City
Pine City is holding a community blood drive tomorrow.
Pine City as a whole has ranked as a top 10 sponsor for blood drives in the last five years for the surrounding areas, and has received multiple awards for its efforts.
The drive being held tomorrow is hosted at Chris’ Food Center in Pine City from 11 am to 6 pm.

Solid Rock in the Park
A free, local concert is taking stage this Sunday.
As a part of Freedom Fest, Solid Rock in the Park is an annual outdoor concert.
Organizer Steve Palmer is looking forward to seeing those that attend the event.

In its 11th year, the concert is welcoming popular acts, such as American Idol finalist Phil Stacey, as well as local talent such as Mike and the Vibes.
Solid Rock in the Park is Sunday, June 25th from 1 pm to 7 pm at Robinson Park in Pine City.
NB Area Schools Hire new Director of Finance and HR
North Branch Area School System has hired a new director of Finance and HR. Jon Ellerbusch will replace longtime employee Randi Johnson in the role. Ellerbusch previously worked as the Royalton superintendent.
