Area high school seniors have an opportunity at a hefty scholarship.
Through community donations and state legislature, area high schoolers have a chance at $3500 Workforce Development scholarships at Pine Technical & Community College.
The state is suffering in a lack of jobs in manufacturing, healthcare, information technology and agriculture.
To combat that, the state gave out 14 $2500 scholarships to those fields, and Pine Tech and Community College was one of them .
The scholarship deadline is January 19, 2018.
