A man is in serious condition after his motorcycle left the roadway and crashed into the ditch in North Branch Township Sunday evening.
The man, whose identity hasn't been released, was northbound on Jodrell Street when his motorcycle left the road, hit a field approach, and ejected him. When deputies arrived on the scene the man was cognitive but had suffered from severe road rash and facial injuries.
While the crash is still under investigation, it appears that alcohol was a factor and he was not wearing a helmet. No other people or vehicles were involved. The Isanti County Sheriff's Office, North Branch Fire Department, and Lakes Region Ambulance responded to the incident.
