A family was rescued on the Rum River yesterday after their tubes popped and left them stranded on the water.
An adult and three children were stuck on the river near Isanti yesterday after their tubes ruptured and the parent was forced to hold onto a tree to keep the river from washing them away. The incident occurred 0.5 mile south of Martin's Landing.
Local agencies including sheriff's deputies, police, and fire were dispatched to the scene and successfully recovered the family. No injuries were reported. The children were wearing life jackets during the incident.
