Man Convicted of Criminal Property Damage After Punching Slot Machine


Nicholas Mark Connolly of Lindstrom, MN has been convicted of 1st degree criminal property damage.

The charge stemmed from an incident that happened on Sept. 16 of 2017. Connolly was using a slot machine at the Grand Casino Hinckley when he became angry.

He gave the slot machine the finger before punching it, shaking it, and hitting it with an open hand. The damage he caused was totaled to be over $1,000.

The entire incident was caught by a security camera.

1st degree criminal property damage is a felony. The maximum sentence is 5 years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine.
