Two juveniles were arrested after they allegedly threw logs which damaged multiple cars.
According to the Pine County Sheriff’s Office, the incidents occurred on Thursday, April 11 just before 4 a.m. south of Hinckley near the northbound exit along I-35.
During his weekly Sheriff's Report, Pine County Sheriff Jeff Nelson said a squad car that was sent to investigate the reports became a target and sustained significant damage by the two juveniles.
Sheriff Nelson went onto say that this issue isn't just about the damage that was caused.
"It's not as much about the property damage as it is the potential for could've happened if they hit a windshield or a driver panicked or reacted to what's going on. Bad stuff can happen pretty quickly. Especially when you're traveling highway speeds and something comes flying at you," said Nelson.
Multiple cars were hit, but no injuries have been reported.
