Pine County Sheriff's Office Press Release:
As a word of warning and information – There have been seven reported drug overdoses this year already. Three of the reported overdoses have resulted in a death. We are still waiting for lab analysis to confirm the substances involved, but it is suspected in each case to involve fentanyl.
At this time, we have not made a connection to a common source. There is no safe opioid out there right now and each use runs the risk of an overdose. Even with the availability of Narcan, we are seeing unfortunate outcomes. Please seek help if you are struggling with use. If you know someone in your household may have a use disorder, please have Narcan available. I have attached a link for those that might be searching for Narcan or other resources.
