Rush City Schools Roll out Food Plan for Students in Need

The Rush City School District is rolling out a new plan to benefit students in need of food.

The Rush City Schools Food4Kids Backpack program gives kids the food they need when it’s not available at home.

While the program is getting up and running, it is still in its infancy and the school is accepting outside donations to sustain and further the program.

You can also donate food to the North Branch food shelf and mention the program.

For more information and on how to sign your kids up for the program, simply head here.

Jason Rarick Promotes Program for HS Students at State Capitol

Pine City’s state representative Jason Rarick is getting word out on an opportunity for high school juniors.

The Minnesota House of Representatives 2018 High School Page Program gives juniors the chance to learn the legislative process and also develop leadership skills by observing how committees are conducted and how issues are resolved.

The program will give students interaction with politicians, lobbyists, members of the media, and more.

The application must be sent before December 1st, and you can sign up by visiting here.
