BREAKING: Cambridge PD Chief Resigns

November 13, 2017

After convening for over an hour Monday afternoon, the Cambridge, MN City Council accepted the resignation of Police Chief Tim Dwyer, effective immediately.

When prompted for reasoning behind Dwyer's resignation, Cambridge city commissioner Lynda Woulfe refused to comment.

The resignation agreement and release of claims went to a vote in the public session, and all members of the council voted to accept the resignation.

While the city didn't make any of the complaints against Dwyer public, Woulfe did say that some of that information would be announced soon, within "10 days".

Dwyer had been on paid administrative leave since October 27th following "allegations of misconduct".

In his resignation letter Dwyer said that, "It has been an honor to work with you as a council and with the fine staff at the police and fire department, public works and city hall."
