Boys Basketball

Less than one week after the boys scored 94 points against Hinckley-Finlayson, the Dragons were held to one of their lowest point totals of the season. Luckily for Pine City, their defense was the story as they picked up the playoff victory over Holdingford 56-40 on Thursday Night.

No one player stepped up for Pine City on Thursday night, but the Dragons used solid defense and team scoring to get their first playoff win this season.

Pine City will now focus on Annandale. The #1 seed Cardinals are 21-6 on the year after defeating Rush City 81-38 in their first round game. According to MN Basketball Hub, Annandale is the 9th best team in the state for Class AA.

Pine City and Annandale will tip-off at 1:00 pm from St. John's University on Saturday afternoon. You can listen to that game on 106.5 FM/AM 1350.
