Students Given Chance at College Thanks to Private Donation

Students across east central Minnesota that wouldn't otherwise be able to attend college have been given a generous opportunity.

Thanks to a private family foundation, students are being offered a year of free tuition and a $1000 stipend to attend Pine Technical and Community College. 2019 graduates of Braham, East Central, Hinckley-Finlayson, Mora, or Pine City that received free or reduced price meals their senior year are eligible for the opportunity.

Families can determine eligibility by contacting their school district, as well as the college.

Lightning seems to have struck twice for local students, as the Frandsen Family Foundation recently offered free college to PTCC for an entire senior class as well. Read more about that donation by clicking here
