Mustang Runners Place Third at State

The Mora Mustang Boys Cross Country team finished third in the State Cross Country meet this weekend at St. Olaf University. Mora junior Cooper Lennox placed in second overall in a race that featured 176 runners. This was a very impressive feat for a team that was expected to place somewhere around 10th place. Mora placed 11th last year at State after winning the 2016 State Championship.

 

Elsewhere in the Class A race, Tommy Ryan from Pine City finished with a very impressive 15th place finish and Cedric LaFave from Hinckley-Finlayson was 160th.

 

In the Class AA race Matthew Stuber from North Branch was 102nd overall, Joe Nihart also from North Branch finished 146 and Dylan Larson from Cambridge-Isanti was 162nd.

 

On the girls side, Alaina Steele put together another great run finished 35th out of 175 runners. Eva Holmgren from Mora placed 95th and Peyton Oslin also from Mora placed 117th.

 

In the Class AA girls race Jessa Ilg from Cambridge-Isanti finished 170th overall.
