WCMP Winter Sports Athlete of the Season Award Winners!

It all started at the beginning of March with 35 nominees for our Winter Sports Athlete of the Season. All 35 of those athletes were more than deserving to win this award.

But after a month of narrowing down the list we have our 2 winners!

WCMP Girls Winter Sports Athlete of the Season:

Mallory Clepper - Pine City Girls Basketball

Here are some of Mallory's stats from her Senior season:

16.9 ppg, 10.7 rpg, 3.7 apg, 2.1 spg, 1.8 bpg

And here are her stats for her career:

1081 points, 775 rebounds, 319 assists, 188 steals, 129 blocks

Mallory plans to attend the College of St. Benedicts to continue her education and basketball career!

WCMP Boys Winter Sports Athlete of the Season:

Joe Couwenhoven - Chisago Lakes Boys Basketball

Joe was new to Chisago Lakes his freshman year and has been putting in the work ever since!

He became a full time starter his Junior season and has only grown his game since then!

Joe plans to attend North Central University to continue his education and basketball career!
