Dragons Come From Behind to Grab a Win

Pine City 67

Braham 62

In the past four season the Dragons are 7-1 against the Bombers. But the Bombers looked to stop the slide in this matchup. Braham came out with the game plan to stop the Dragons offense from getting in rhythm, and that's exactly what they did. Pine City who averages 82 points per game were held to only 27 in the first half. Braham was able to find open shots and make the most of those opportunities, as they went into halftime over the Dragons with 37 points. Coming into the second half, both teams were able to score early and often. Pine City was able to erase their 10 point deficit, but just as they got within striking distance Braham went on a run of their own to hold the lead. As the half moved along, the action heated up. Late in the game the Dragons grabbed the lead, but only for a short time as Braham took no time to tie the game at 54. After both teams traded baskets, Pine City was able grabbed the lead once again, this time they would hold onto it. Braham was forced to foul, and the Dragons added to their lead at the free throw line. Pine City got the victory in come from behind fashion.

Pine City moves to 4-0 on the season, and will face undefeated East Central on Thursday night. Braham drops to 2-2, and will travel up to Swanville on Friday night to face off against the Bulldogs.
