Dragons Run Past Mille Lacs, Scoring Over 100 Points in the Win

The Pine City Girls hosted Mille Lacs on Friday in a conference matchup.

It was all Dragons from the tip off. After winning said tip off it took only seconds for Pine City get on the board. After the first bucket dropped, the Dragons seemingly couldn't miss. Every shot was taking with the confidence of knowing the ball would fall through. But it wasn't just the offense getting the job done, the defense was just as impressive. They grabbed 18 steals and forced many more turnovers. Pine City was in firm control and at halftime lead 58-8.

After half it was much of the same both sides of the ball playing phenomenally but also playing smart. As the 2nd half rolled on the race against the clock began. Not for a win but for points. Pine City was closing in on 100 points scored in the game. Their bench players were able to help bring the team to 99 but it was Junior Summer Thieman who popped a 3 to give the Dragons 102 points! Ultimately, Pine City cruised to victory 102-30 over the Raiders.

Pine City now sits a 13-5 on the season and 9-0 in the conference. They will play against Mile Lacs on Monday and play a key game in Braham on Tuesday.

The Raiders sit at 2-14 on the season and 1-7 in the conference. After Monday's game they will host Barnum on Tuesday.
