East Central hosted MLWR on Monday night.
The Eagles got off to a good start and quickly jumped out to a double digit lead. It looked like they were going to put the game away early, but the Rebels would not go away quietly. After getting down by double digits in the first few minutes, they were able to make some adjustments and began to cut into the deficit. They were able to get within a few possessions of the lead, but that was as close as they would get. The Eagles turned up the heat on both sides of the ball. Their offense seemingly could not miss, and the defense was impenetrable. They took a lopsided lead into the half 58-25.
The Eagles got off to a good start in the 2nd half and all but put the game away. They were able to score on almost every possession and the defense was not giving an inch. Sooner than later they were able to take their foot off the pedal and as the running clock began the backups made their way in to finish off the game. A dominate performance through and through for the Eagles as they claimed the victory 89-57.
They move to 5-5 on the season and will host Rush City on Tuesday.
