Knights Defeat Buzz

Hinckley hosted Moose Lake on Monday night.

It's not often we see town ball on Monday but this was a league game that held some priority.

This was the first game for the Buzz in about 2 weeks, on the other side, for Hinckley, this was their 3rd game in 4 days.

Neither team scored in the 1st but both scored in the 2nd, the Buzz would score a run in the next two innings as well taking a 3-1 lead into the 5th. The Knights offense was able to find some success, holding Moose Lake scoreless while score two runs themselves and tying the game. The Knights defense got better and better as the night went along, albeit some errors still happened, their defense didn't allow another run from the Buzz. Knights starting pitcher Isaiah Hasz also helped grabbing 7 K's in his 6 innings pitched. Going into the 7th inning the game was still tied at 3, but Max Sickler lead off the bottom of the inning with a triple to put them in a great spot to take the lead. Hasz would bring him home on a sac fly to give the Knights their first lead of the game. The 8th inning Hinckley was able to pile on. They scored 5 runs on 2 hits while also batting around the entire order. The insurance runs they scored were key as they were able to go out in the 9th and make quick work of the Buzz, getting them three up and three down to seal the win.

The Knights now turn their attention to the game possibly of the season for them, as they play Princeton for the division lead on Wednesday.
