Rush City hosted Hinckley-Finlayson on Wednesday night. The Tigers came into the regular season finale having won on homecoming night, while the Jags lost to a tough Aitkin team on their own homecoming. Rush City hosted Braham on Monday night. Both teams were coming in having won last week, and had nearly a week off. So both teams were coming in well rested and hungry for another conference win.

Pine County 4-H member Owen Johnson has been selected as a 2025-2026 Minnesota 4-H Agriculture Ambassador. Johnson, a 12th-grader from Hinckley, has participated in 4-H for eight years. According to a news release from extension educator Sarah Odendahl, Johnson will represent Pine County as one of 27 youth leaders from across the state chosen for the role. He started serving as an agriculture ambassador on Oct. 1, and will continue through September of 2026. The release state
