The Pine County Sheriff's Office has reported that a Kettle River teenager has drowned on Elbow Lake.
According to law enforcement, deputies responded to Elbow Shore Lane in Finlayson with a report of a drowning. Deputies spoke with people at the scene who were swimming with the male and witnessed him go under the water and not resurface.
Finlayson Fire Department and St Louis County Search and Rescue were called to the scene to assist in the recovery of the man. He was identified as a 19-year-old from Kettle River, and he was located later that evening.
