End of State Legislature for 2017
As the 2017 MN state Legislative session is ending, Pine County’s representative is happy with their accomplishments.
Republican Jason Rarick said that tax relief was one of their biggest achievements.
While much was completed, Rarick says this is just the beginning and that he hopes to build a strong 2017 session.
Jason Rarick has served Pine County since 2015.
T-ball signup
The Pine City Junior Dragon t-ball program is starting up once again this year.
The league is open to boys and girls ages 2 to 5.
The games will be played at the Pine City city fields.
To register, go to Robinson Park tonight at 6pm. The signup fee is just 10 dollars per child.

Memorial day is this Monday, and various American Legion Posts in Pine County are honoring the ultimate sacrifices of American Armed Forces Veterans.
Grantsburg Student Headed to Trial
The Grantsburg student who is being tried for terroristic threats is set for trial.
Jacob Aaron Wicklund was arrested May 9th after posting threats on Facebook.
The teen contacted authorities himself to turn himself in, and possessed no firearms upon arrest.
At the preliminary hearing, Wicklund’s attorney attempted to have the terroristic threat charge removed, but his request was denied.
The case is now headed to trial, with Wicklund’s next appearance in court on June 14th.
