Mammal Jam Event

A chance to meet and learn about local wildlife is this Saturday.

St. Croix State Park is hosting their 5th Mammal Jam.

The park will have animals such as Spike the porcupine from the Audubon Center.

The event is from 5-6 pm at the St. Croix Lodge this Saturday.

City Hall Building

Pine City’s City Council discussed the potential future of its building yesterday.

At the council meeting, which began at its new 8 am start on on the final Thursday of every month, councilors shared information on what might happen to the building.

Pine City Mayor Carl Pederson said the data from the survey possibly showed that either renovating or rebuilding are the best options.

However, Pederson added that the all the statistics from the survey have to be examined.

According to the council, many of the respondents to the survey are not living in the county.

The City is currently fielding estimates on new possible building sites and also renovation costs.

Where’s Waldo Event

A local bookstore in Cambridge is setting a scavenger hunt for citizens.

The third year of the Where’s Waldo Scavenger Hunt is hosted by Scout and Morgan books.

The store has hidden 21 Waldo figures across town in different businesses.

The hunt goes throughout the entire month of July with prizes awarded to those that find them.
