Potential Flooding on its way from the Snake River

Potential Flooding on its way from the Snake River

After recent heavy rainfall in parts of Pine County, some roads are underwater, and further flooding could be on its way.

The Snake River is expected to see significantly higher water levels through today and Saturday.

Anyone living along the Snake River should keep an eye on their docks and boats, as there have already been reports of jet skis on Pokegama Lake that floated off their docks.

Earlier in the week Co Rd 35 or Finlayson Road, was reported to be underwater, as well as military road in Windemere Township, where the bridge deck is underwater.

The Sheriff’s Department is encouraging drivers to proceed through these areas with caution, and to report any further affected roadways or bridges.
