A year after demolishing the Pine City Mill, the City of Pine City is looking for a firm to aid in them in redevelopment of the land.
"The former mill site was demolished last summer, and it's the City's goal to develop it into something useful," said Lezlie Sauter, Pine City's Community Development Director. "Housing seems to be a hot topic in the area, so this demand study will help us determine what type of housing should potentially go there."
The study Sauter is referencing is a Housing Demand Market Study that would focus on the downtown area of Pine City.
The city is currently requesting proposals from firms that specialize in this kind of work.
According to the City, all proposals are due by August 21 at 3 p.m. so that the City Council can make a decision at their September 4 meeting.
