A person was injured following an officer-involved shooting Monday in Moose Lake.
According to the Minnesota Bureau of Public Safety Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, law enforcement was serving felony warrants to a home in the Hillside Terraces Mobile Home Park. The warrants were related to an open investigation of an incident allegedly involving the suspect.
The BCA went on to say that authorities used a flash-bang and entered the home, and at one point a member of the law enforcement team discharged their weapon, striking the suspect.
Law enforcement and paramedics provided medical aid to the suspect at the scene.
The suspect was then transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Moose Lake and was airlifted to Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth.
The BCA is investigating to see if any video of the incident was captured.
Once the investigation is complete, the BCA will hand everything over to the Carlton County Attorney's Office.
The Moose Lake and Cloquet Police Departments, Carlton and Pine County Sheriff’s Offices, the U.S. Marshals Service, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and Cloquet Fire District Paramedics provided assistance at the scene.
