Copy of Pine City Trap Update

Here's a Dragon trap shooting update from George Johnson from this past Sunday!

Sunday, May 5, found the 66 members of the Pine City High School shooting under mostly sunny skies.  The light breeze made for good shooting conditions.  Leading the team for week three of competitive shooting was senior Gavin Broz.  He was dialed in and hit 44 of 50 targets.  Close behind were junior Ryan Carl with a 42 and freshman Austin Gariepy with a 41.  These three Dragons have been near the top of the leaderboard all season.  Corbin Fedder, Tyler Mohr, and Talen Reitan continued their hot streaks with scores of 40.  Following right behind them with 39 hits were Nate Burns and Colton Mohr.  Rounding out the top ten were Bryer Berube with a 37 and Evan Doenz with a 36.  Milo Babolik, Evan Benolken, Darien Hall, and Ben Huettl all shot 35 clays.  The team has two more weeks of competitive shooting to get ready for state.  A total of 38 athletes are registered for the state tournament in Alexandria on June 17.
