The Lady Dragons are competing at State! Head Coach Kristin Unverzagt tell us how the team performed.
The doubles duos of Malia Mikyska/Brenna Youngbauer and Lexa Valvoda/Alana Linnell will both advance in the consolation bracket tomorrow. They both lost in the first round, but won their second match of the day. We are proud of both teams for their aggressive play and closing out their matches.
Mikyska/Youngbauer lost in the first round to a strong Rochester Lourdes team and Linnell/Valvoda lost in the first round to a strong Litchfield team. In the second round, both doubles teams came ready to play and moved well. They attacked the ball to close out the points and dominate at the net!
Brooke Boland won in her first round, but lost in the second. She played well against Addison Armstrong from Blue Earth and dictated the game with strong groundstrokes and smart play. She faced a tough opponent, Isabelle Einess from Breck, in the second round. She battled hard to stay in each point but fell short to win the match.
The girls all played well and had a great day! We are so proud of how hard they work and for digging in to close out. It has been a fun and exhausting week and the girls continue to battle and represent PCHS proudly!
Both doubles teams will play at 8AM tomorrow(10/27).
