Many local basketball teams are still playing playoff basketball! Let’s take a look at when and where their games will take place.
Cambridge-Isanti Girls
The Lady Bluejackets have made it to the state tournament! Their back for the first time since 1999! The Bluejackets first round matchup is against the #1 seeded Hopkins. Cambridge-Isanti Boys
The Bluejackets are one game away from getting into the state tournament for the 2nd straight year. They will play Duluth East in the Section 7AAAA Championship game this Thursday. The Bluejackets won two close games against Duluth East this year, both by single digits. That game will be played at Elk River High School at 7pm. East Central Boys
The Eagles are in the Section 5A semifinal game against a familiar foe. They will play Hinckley-Finlayson on Wednesday at Foley High School. Tip off at 7pm. Hinckley-Finlayson Boys
The Jaguars got an upset win on Saturday over the #2 seed Cromwell-Wright. The Jags have fought hard all year and are now two games away from heading back to the state tournament. They will play conference opponent East Central, for a chance to go to the section championship game. Hinckley-Finlayson lost to East Central twice this year with one game going to double overtime. Mora Boys
The Mustangs won over Annandale on Saturday, on a buzzer beater from Lucas Athey. Mora will have a rematch in the Section 6AA semi final game, as they will play Pine City. The Mustangs defeated Pine City 63-61 in their lone matchup this year on February 3rd. The game has been moved to St. Cloud State University at 7:00 pm. Pine City Boys
The Dragons upset the #2 seed Osakis on Saturday to advance to the section semi finals. They will play Mora, who they lost to in a matchup during the regular season. The Mustangs defeated Pine City 63-61 in their lone matchup this year on February 3rd. They will battle for the right to play in the Section 6AA championship game.
