Hinckley-Finlayson Announces E-Learning Day Due To Illness

The Hinckley-Finlayson School District has announced that school buildings will be closed on Friday, November 18, and classes with resume virtually due to an influenza outbreak.


The closing is for Finlayson Elementary, Hinckley Elementary, Empower Learning Center, Hinckley-Finlayson High School, New Directions, and the Pine County Transition Program.


All Elementary students will conduct their learning through choice boards, HFHS students should log into schoology to see their class work for the day, and Pine County Transition students will get their learning activities from Ryan Redfield and Mary Davis.


The district says that they plan on having school as scheduled on Monday and Tuesday next week.


All afternoon activities for Thursday will go on as normal, and elementary school conferences will continue as planned.


The Fall play at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday will still go on as planned.


However, the junior high boys' basketball game on Friday will be postponed. It is rescheduled for Tuesday, December 6.
