This week marked the beginning of a construction project on a more than eight-mile section of I35 between Harris and the Pine/Chisago County Line.
Intermittent lane closures in both directions have begun, but both northbound and southbound will be reduced to a single lane starting Monday, April 6.
This section of I35 will be undergoing concrete resurfacing, drainage updates, and safety improvements.
In the early summer, the northbound Rush City ramps are scheduled to be closed for two to four weeks in early summer, so construction crews can replace the lighting at the Rush City interchange.
The work is scheduled to be completed by midsummer 2020.
