Lady Dragons Capture Fifth Conference Title in a Row!

The Pine City Girls Tennis Head Coach Kristin Unverzagt gave us a look at the teams win over Pequot Lakes!

It is with much excitement that I share that the girls tennis team clinched the Granite Ridge Conference championship for a fifth year in a row!  The girls had three tough and hard fought battles this week to make it happen!

Our doubles teams were a force and commanded the match right away.  They had good movement and aggressive play.  Our singles players also used their strengths and stuck to their game plan to help contribute to the team win tonight.

We are so proud of this team and how far they have come. We knew that this season would be an opportunity for growth and navigating challenges, but the girls keep getting better and embrace that challenge.  They have high goals and know that everything we do/did this season was to prepare for the upcoming weeks.

We head to Foley on Saturday for the conference doubles tournament.

Section play begins next Thursday.
