Lady Dragons Finish 3rd at Hibbing Invite

Head Coach Kristin Unverzagt tells us about their trip to Hibbing!

The Dragons had a strong weekend on the courts as they battled hard in Hibbing and Virginia! It is fun to see their game improve and grow as we roll into the final weeks of our conference schedule. We had strong competition with many close matches. It was great to see our team step up and rise to the challenge. They continue to improve on the little details that make us stronger each time we step on the court.

We finished 2nd in the team standings playing Rock Ridge, Cambridge-Isanti, Stillwater, Duluth East, Grand Rapids/Greenway, Hibbing, and Duluth Marshall.

We placed at each position!

Brooke Boland: 2nd Place (1st Singles)

Alana Linnell: Consolation Champion (2nd Singles)

Lily Rootkie: 4th Place (3rd Singles)

Alayna Fauskee/Myra Roubinek: Consolation Champion (4th Singles)

Vivian Lahti/Kate Unverzagt: 1st Place (1st Doubles)

Alyssa Miller/Brecklyn Nicoll: 4th Place (2nd Doubles)

Kendall Steele/Mallory Clepper: 1st Place (3rd Doubles)

Alana Linnell also hit a milestone of her 75th career win!

We will head to Little Falls on Tuesday to continue our conference matches and JV will host.
