The Pine City Girls Tennis Head Coach Kristin Unverzagt gave us a look at the teams first conference match vs Pierz!
The Dragons traveled to Pierz for our first conference match of the season and came home with a 5-2 win! They played well and showed strength in their game after coming off two great practices this week. Our doubles teams worked hard to put themselves in a strong position to capture the net and remain in a positive offensive position. Our singles extended the points and set up their points to create opportunities. All positions battled well and continue to improve. It is exciting to see the girls build upon what they learned in the preseason matches. I am so proud of the girls. We look forward to hosting Little Falls next Tuesday for our next conference match. We will also host Minnewaska, New London-Spicer, and Staples-Motley on Saturday.
