Man Arrested After Reportedly Biting a Burnett Co. Deputy

A 38-year-old man is facing possible charges after he reportedly bit a Burnett County Sheriff's deputy.

According to law enforcement, the suspect, identified as Adam Wayne Bailey, had an active extraditable probation warrant out of Minnesota. When deputies attempted to arrest Bailey on Monday, December 6, he led deputies on a car chase that ended in what Sheriff Tracy Finch referred to as a "knockdown, drag-out fight."

Finch said that Bailey refused to comply with deputies, which resulted in him biting one of the deputies while they were fighting on the ground.

Bailey was successfully taken into custody and is currently facing the following charges: Knowingly Flee an Officer, Resisting an Officer, and Battery to a Peace Officer.

Sheriff Tracy Finch talked about the incident during the Burnett County Sheriff's Report this week. You can listen to the segment down below.
