One man is dead following a Monday afternoon crash in Sunrise Township.
According to the Chisago County Sheriff’s Department, responders were called to Keystone Ave., east of North Branch, with the report of a car colliding with a dump truck. An initial investigation indicates the dump truck was waiting to turn into a driveway.
The driver of the car was flown from the scene via Life Link helicopter to HCMC in critical condition; however, he was declared dead upon arriving at the hospital.
The Chisago County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash with the assistance of the
Minnesota State Patrol Crash Reconstruction Team and the Minnesota State Patrol Commercial Vehicle Inspections Team.
