A Prior Lake woman died after falling off a paddleboard on Crooked Lake near Siren on May 30.
According to a news release from the Burnett County Sheriff’s Office, dispatch received a report about a woman in distress just before 3 p.m.
A rescue swimmer from the Siren Fire Department and a Good Samaritan with a kayak were able to bring her to shore.
Life-saving measures were immediately started before the victim was transported to North Air Care at the Burnett County Airport.
She was pronounced deceased at that time. The victim was identified as 35-year-old Jessica Lindberg.
The case is still under investigation by law enforcement.
