Pine City and Mora Finish Rained out Match

Coach Unverzagt updates us on their rained out match.

Mora traveled back to Pine City tonight to finish our first doubles and fourth singles matches.

It was a great finish and the girls battled hard.

Myra Roubinek resumed her match with a first set win and up 2-0 in the second. She attacked the net and created great points and opportunities to be offensive with her shots.

The Mora first doubles earned their first loss of the season after a great battle with Vivian Lahti and Kate Unverzagt.

They started the match in the second set up 3-2, 40-love after our rainout last night.  The girls closed out the set and played well.  The third set started tough as we were down 1-4, but they dug deep and battled back to take a 5-4 lead.  Mora continued to battle hard and we took it to a seven point tie break at 6-6 to come up with the win.

The timing was perfect as we finished with about one minute to spare before it started to rain.

It was a strong 7-0 win for the Dragons.

The JV hosts a quad on Saturday and then Varsity hosts Pequot Lakes on Monday.
