Pine City Defeats Princeton

Pine City's Kristin Unverzagt gives us the scoop on how the girls did against Princeton.

The girls tennis team had a strong showing as we battled Princeton and came out with a 6-1 win.

We continue to improve each time we step on the court.  I am so proud of the girls as we navigate wind, rain, and little time to practice as we make up matches.

They are learning each time they play and continue to get stronger.

Our singles dominated and lost only 3 games at a combination of all 4 spots!  Our movement, shot selection, and serving was key to the success of a singles sweep!  The doubles teams played well to create opportunities and set up points.  First and second doubles both rallied back after first set losses to dominate the second set and take their matches to a third set tie breaker  The shot selection of our third doubles duo created great net opportunities to put the ball away.

We host Pequot Lakes tomorrow and Pierz on Thursday to continue our conference match play.  JV will head to Pequot Lakes and Pierz.
