The Minnesota Department of Health confirmed on 11/02/2020 that a Pine County resident has died from COVID-19. Pine County expresses its sincere sympathy to the family and friends for their deeply personal loss. This further reinforces the need to work harder to slow the spread of COVID-19.
“On behalf of Pine County, I want to extend my deepest sympathies to the family and friends
who are grieving this deeply personal loss. Our entire community is grieving with you,” said
Public Health Director Samantha Lo. Lo added that this death illustrates the importance and
urgency of taking protective measures against the spread of this virus. With Pine County seeing an increasing number of cases of COVID-19, Lo urged the public to not grow weary in their approach to COVID-19. Please continue to use social distancing practices, wear masks, wash your hands, and stay home when you are not feeling well.
