Suspect Still at Large Following Sunday Morning Pursuit

A vehicle pursuit reached speeds over 100 MPH Sunday morning after Tribal Police attempted to stop a suspect wanted on an active felony warrant.


St. Croix Tribal Police attempted to stop Shaun J. Belisle around 7:30 a.m. after he was spotted leaving the Danbury Casino.


The pursuit went west on Highway 77 and then onto southbound County Road F before ultimately crashing into a ditch on St. Croix Trail and fleeing on foot into the woods.


A K9 team was brought in to help track Belisle, but authorities were unable to locate him.


A search of the vehicle revealed over eight grams of methamphetamine in three separate baggies.


Belisle is currently wanted on felony fleeing, possession of methamphetamine, reckless endangerment, and obstruction charges.
