On Friday Morning, October 7th, at 8:07 am, Officers from the Cambridge Police Department responded to the area of Cypress and 6th Avenue NW.
Officers arrived in the area and located the suspect vehicle. A high-risk stop was initiated by Cambridge Police Officers in a parking lot on the 400 block of Cypress Avenue. Deputies from the Isanti County Sheriff’s Office responded to assist.
There were five occupants in the vehicle that were removed. Three juveniles have been taken into custody and a gun was recovered. None of the three juveniles taken into custody were students of Cambridge-Isanti High School.
Investigation into this incident revealed that the suspect vehicle was reportedly stolen out of Minnetonka. The vehicle has been impounded.
All suspects are in custody and there is no longer any threat to the public.
