Tigers Rout Wildcats at Home

The Rush City volleyball team hosted Chisago Lakes on Tuesday night.

The Tigers came into the game supporting an unbeaten record, meanwhile the Wildcats were looking to push their record one game over .500.

The first set began with both teams trading points, and it seemed neither team would gain any momentum. But that's when the tables turned, the Tigers made a couple big plays and everything went their way. They took set 1 25-8.

The second set was a battle for each side. Rush City took an early lead, but Chisago Lakes would not go down easy. The Wildcats battled back and took the momentum for themselves. Both teams played extremely hard and had some highlight reel plays. It wasn't until a key timeout was called by Rush City that it seemed everything changed. The Tigers once again pulled away and took set 2 25-13.

The Tigers controlled much of the third set, but the Wildcats refused to go down without a fight. Late in the set Rush City looked to close it out, Chisago Lakes made a few big hits and fought for a few tough points. Ultimately, the Tigers closed out the set with the win 25-10.

The Tigers remain unbeaten on the season and will travel to Mora on Thursday.

The Wildcats drop one game below .500 at 3-4. They will travel to St. Paul Johnson on Thursday.
