Rush City hosted Milaca on Friday night. These two teams run fairly similar, both play physical defense and more of a patient offense. This is exactly what we seen in the 1st half. Both teams tried to work the ball inside and find the easier layups but the defenses were stingy and there was not alot of room to even pass the ball.

Rush City played Ekso in the section championship on Saturday. The Tigers played in Hermantown on Saturday afternoon to defend their section title against Esko. The Tigers and Esko played against each other for the 4th year in a row, with Rush City winning the previous three.

Rush City played Crosby-Ironton on Wednesday night. The Tigers played in Hermantown against the Rangers in the section semi final. This was a game Rush City was looking forward to. They had lost to them during the regular season and were looking for some revenge.

The Tigers came into the regular season finale having won on homecoming night, while the Jags lost to a tough Aitkin team on their own homecoming. The Tigers received the opening kickoff, and only needed two plays to get a first down. But they were then stopped and forced to punt after the next three plays. Rush City hosted Braham on Monday night. Both teams were coming in having won last week, and had nearly a week off. So both teams were coming in well rested and hungry for another conference win.

Rush City hosted Crosby-Ironton on Friday night. The Tigers came in off a two game losing streak in which they had trouble hanging onto the ball. But it was time to turn the page and move forward. While homecoming is a busy week, the Tigers were able to keep their focus on the things they needed to fix and improve on.

Thursday night a Great River battle in Rush City was held. Both Mora and Rush City came into the night with undefeated records in the early season. Despite holding leads in each of the three sets, Mora fell in straight sets to Rush City. Never was a lead more than 8 points by either team. The Tigers fought their way to a 25-17, 25-23, 25-21 victory.

The Tigers played two games on Wednesday, the first vs Mora and the second vs Ogilvie. The Tigers had a chance to once again capture the conference crown, but would need to win both games. Having already played two games to start the week, they would need to push through some fatigue.
