Tigers Use 2nd Half Comeback to Defeat Milaca

Rush City hosted Milaca on Friday night.

These two teams run fairly similar, both play physical defense and more of a patient offense. This is exactly what we seen in the 1st half. Both teams tried to work the ball inside and find the easier layups but the defenses were stingy and there was not alot of room to even pass the ball. Both teams were able to hit 3 buckets from outside the perimeter. But it was a low scoring first half and neither team had a real advantage, even though Milaca had some momentum on their side, as they headed into halftime leading 25-19.

The 2nd half saw both offenses put together a few scoring runs, but the Wolves continued to lead. The Tigers spent nearly the entire 2nd half trailing, but they were continuing to keep the score close. Eventually, the Tigers were able to make a few key stops and even grabbed some takeaways. Their offense capitalized off of these opportunities and before long they had stripped the lead away from the Wolves. Milaca didn't just roll over though, they fought back and tried to swing momentum back to their side of the court. But the Tigers lead came late in the game and they were able to take time with their possessions and draw fouls, which lead to them coming away with the win 54-49.
