The victim of former Chisago County Sheriff Richard Duncan has been awarded over $1 million by a jury in her sexual harassment lawsuit.

Duncan was charged and later convicted of Misconduct of a Public Officer for sending threatening letters to Michelle Jacobson, who worked for the Chisago County Sheriff's Office, in 2017 under the pseudonym "Control Freak" to try and coerce her into having sex with him.

KSTP said that Duncan later admitted to creating the plot so he could solve it and be the hero.
