In the opening week for high school football, two longtime rivals met once again. East Central traveled to Braham to face the Bombers. Braham beat the Eagles 42-0 last season on their way to a 5-5 season. East Central finished the 2024 campaign 1-8. Braham started quickly and kept their foot on the gas. The Bombers earned a 50-0 halftime lead gaining most of their yardage on the ground. Quarterback Garrett Lidke did throw for two scores as well.

Braham softball hosted Rush City on Tuesday. The Bombers were looking for the season sweep over the Tigers, while Rush City was looking for a big win on the road. A big conference matchup for both teams, a win for the Bombers meant they were one step away from becoming conference champs, a win for the Tigers would tie them at the top with the Bombers.

The Bombers softball team hosted Ogilvie on Friday. In what was the start to a busy weekend for the Bombers, they were looking to keep their hold on the top spot in the conference. The Lions were coming in having won 5 straight game and 7 of their last 8 and were looking to improve their section record.

Braham welcomed the Jags on Tuesday. The Jags 1st inning didn't go well. After only getting one hit from the offense, the defense gave up 4 runs on 3 hits to the Bombers and found themselves trailing early.
