North Branch hosted Chisago Lakes on Thursday night for a double header.
The boys teams would take the court first. The Vikings came in having yet to win a game, but an offense that was high flying. The Wildcats had already won a game on the year, and while their offense didn't average as monat point, their defense was allowing less than the Vikings.

Winter Frolic returns to Snake River Fur Post on Jan. 24; future of historic site discussed
The Snake River Fur Post will host its annual Winter Frolic event on Saturday, Jan. 24. Pine City Council renews contracted fire aid agreement with Rush City, discusses opening dialogues
The Pine City Council unanimously voted to renew a contracted fire aid agreement with Rush City for 2026 at Wednesday's meeting. City administrator Marcy Peterson said Rush City remains interested in returning to a mutual aid agreement rather than continuing with contracted aid in the future.
