The Snake River Fur Post will host its annual Winter Frolic event on Saturday, Jan. 24. The Pine City Council unanimously voted to renew a contracted fire aid agreement with Rush City for 2026 at Wednesday's meeting. City administrator Marcy Peterson said Rush City remains interested in returning to a mutual aid agreement rather than continuing with contracted aid in the future. Pine City hosted Foley on Tuesday night. These two teams played last year in Foley and what a game that was. This time the game happens alittle earlier in the season in Pine City. Foley came in as the #1 team in the section, and Pine City was also in the top 5.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at Pine City’s new Kwik Trip on Tuesday afternoon after the location opened for business on Nov. 28.
