The Pine City Planning Commission awards were presented in recognition of outstanding community contributions at the Pine City Area Chamber of Commerce banquet on Tuesday evening. '25 Volleyball Playoff Outlook
Fall playoffs have begun! Let’s see how area volleyball teams fared and who they’ll play. Class A Section 4 (6) Braham 9-17 The Bombers finished strong and earned a six-seed in their section. They will host the winner of Sejong Academy and St. Paul City on Thursday. The Bombers haven’t played either squad this season. Playoffs for the fall season has begun! Here’s a look at how our local teams fared and who they’ll play! 9-Player Section 5 (3) Ogilvie 6-2 The Lions earned the third seed in their section. They will host Verndale on Tuesday night. Ogilvie defeated the Pirates 42-14 back on September 19th. (4) Mille Lacs 6-2 Mille Lacs claimed the fourth seed in the section. Three drug search warrants result in six arrests in Grantsburg
Three drug search warrants conducted by the Burnett County Sheriff's Office resulted in six arrests and the seizure of methamphetamine and marijuana on Wednesday. According to a news release from the sheriff's office, the warrants were conducted simultaneously in the Village of Grantsburg around 10:10 a.m. The warrants were obtained based on information gathered from an investigation into drug trafficking in the Grantsburg area.
