'25 Football Playoffs Outlook
Playoffs for the fall season has begun! Here’s a look at how our local teams fared and who they’ll play! 9-Player Section 5 (3) Ogilvie 6-2 The Lions earned the third seed in their section. They will host Verndale on Tuesday night. Ogilvie defeated the Pirates 42-14 back on September 19th. (4) Mille Lacs 6-2 Mille Lacs claimed the fourth seed in the section. They will host Sebeka on Tuesday night. Mille Lacs earned a victory over the Trojans on September 19th. Class A Section

Three drug search warrants result in six arrests in Grantsburg
Three drug search warrants conducted by the Burnett County Sheriff's Office resulted in six arrests and the seizure of methamphetamine and marijuana on Wednesday. According to a news release from the sheriff's office, the warrants were conducted simultaneously in the Village of Grantsburg around 10:10 a.m. The warrants were obtained based on information gathered from an investigation into drug trafficking in the Grantsburg area. Cambridge man charged with vehicular homicide, DWI in fatal July Pine County crash
A 41-year-old Cambridge man was charged last week with one count of criminal vehicular homicide, six felony-level counts of criminal vehicular operation, and DWI in a July 2 crash that resulted in a fatality in Pine County. According to the criminal complaint, multiple law enforcement agencies were dispatched to a serious two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 48 and Wildlife Road. Kameron Ellis, a 63-year-old Hinckley resident, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Rush City Finishes Comeback in Final moments against Hinckley-Finlayson
Rush City hosted Hinckley-Finlayson on Wednesday night.
The Tigers came into the regular season finale having won on homecoming night, while the Jags lost to a tough Aitkin team on their own homecoming.
