UPDATE: The missing woman was found safely. The Mille Lacs Tribal Police Department is seeking the public's help in locating a missing 44-year-old woman. Pine City Heritage Players announce 2025-2026 season; celebrate 20 years since revival
The Pine City Heritage Players have announced their upcoming 2025-2026 season, celebrating 20 years since the revival of the community theater group. The season will kick off with a Songs of the Stage musical revue, featuring duets and ensemble performances of Broadway favorites, on Saturday, Feb. 21, hosted at the Pine City Pizza Pub. Winter storm dumps inches of snow across east-central Minnesota
Municipalities across east-central Minnesota recorded inches of snow following a winter storm on Tuesday. According to snowfall reports over the past 24 hours from the National Weather Service, Hinckley, Bock, and Willow River each registered 7 inches of snow accumulation. Chisago City recorded 5.8 inches of snow, with Rush City seeing 5.5 inches, and Cambridge reporting 5.1 inches. Pine City Moves to 2-0 in Conference Play after Beating Aitkin Saturday
Pine City girls hosted Aitkin on Saturday.
The girls basketball team had a busy end to their week, on Friday they played in the cities against St Croix Prep, then had to turn around and play again Saturday afternoon.
Some fatigue was sure to play a factor in this midday game, especially this early in the season. But Pine City did not let that hold them back, despite the slow start. Vivian Lahti got them on the board first with a three.
